We at the RGR, mainly me and John, like to run. John runs because he’s fat, I run because it keeps me from getting blogger’s belly and looking like John. Growing up in Oregon meant I was only allowed to wear Nike. Not really, but when all my friend’s parents worked at Nike and hooked me up with employee discounts, I just couldn’t refuse. Actually, I only liked to wear Nike because it was cool and all the other brands sucked, but I was young and impressionable.

RGR is edited by myself and John Biggs and we will be focusing in-depth reviews of running gear. Sure, there are sites that review shoes — but we’re not pro-athletes nor do we pretend to be. We are not supermen, just like the majority of the running world, and we love gadgetry. Why not put our two passions together to create RGR?

Look for more reviews and news coming up. Subscribe to our RSS feed, drop us a line at tips@runninggearreview.com, and join us every day for news and reviews.

Does anyone remember Reebok? They had their moment of glory in the 80s and seemed to have fizzled away in the last two decades.
Does anyone remember Reebok? They had their moment of glory in the 80s and seemed to have fizzled away in the last two decades. They’re still #3 in the athletic shoe market, but the distance between Nike, Adidas and Reebok are astronomical. Reebok does have some stellar athletes: Yao Ming, Thierry Henry, Peyton Manning, Donovan McNabb and The Answer aka Allen Iverson, so it makes me wonder what the hell is going on up in Canton, Massachusetts.
